What is EventsMakr?
EventsMakr is a cloud based solution that allows for event applications and permit issuing (such as temporary event notices) for both the smallest and largest license and/or events office.

Who are the makers of EventsMakr?
EventsMakr is powered by Openbrolly. Openbrolly is a successful software services company, established in 2000 and based in the UK. We provide software products and cloud solution services globally, specialising in local authorities, film offices and the NHS. Read more about us.

What does EventsMakr do?
EventsMakr is an all-encompassing one stop shop for the organisation and processing of events for your jurisdiction. Historically license and events departments within local authorities use manual processes, several spreadsheets and lots of paper to issue permits. This takes up a large amount of staff time, creates confusion between staff members and event organisers, and can slow down workflow.

EventsMakr does a number of things to streamline every step of the application process:

EventsMakr was created by Openbrolly with the help of two UK local authorities, with the aim of solving issues with the current processes that other local authorities currently have. If you issue event permits in a specific area then EventsMakr is for you.

Once we have the information we require from your license/events office, our set up time is 2 weeks subject to demand. Our tech team will take care of you and will personally ensure everything correctly up and running.

Yes - EventsMakr has optional built-in invoicing and payments to make life easier for you and the event organiser.

How many users can we have on the system?
EventsMakr comes with a license limit of 10 users. Any more than that would be an additional £250 each.

How is our data stored?
We host our systems in the Amazon Web Services data centre in Dublin. The data centre meets government standards for data security, and includes ISO 27001 compliance. Read more.

What does the form look like?

What is the medical score?
The medical provision is a built-in system service that provides guidance to the event organiser based on their answers throughout the form. In the background, codes have been added to certain answers within the dropdowns from these the system calculates and provides an overall score and guidance.

What is the medical score based upon?
The medical provision is a built-in scoring system that is based upon the UK national events standards included within  The Purple Guide. EventsMakr also allows the event office to add in details to their local Ambulance Service.

What are the system requirements to use EventsMakr?
No infrastructure or IT knowledge is required by our clients to use our services beyond access to the internet via an up to date browser or mobile device.

How much does EventsMakr cost?

What is the Contacts module?
We feel that being able to add contacts and create contact lists is an integral part of processing event permits, that’s why with EventsMakr you receive a free contacts module to enable you to stay organised.

Will I receive training on how to use EventsMakr effectively?
Yes! 2 hours of training is included with the initial setup of EventsMakr. From there on in you can request priority support, read through our training materials and use the forum in the Openbrolly Community. 

How do I pay for EventsMakr?
Payment for EventsMakr is broken down into an initial setting up fee, followed by an annual maintenance subscription.

Can I purchase a perpetual license for EventsMakr?
No, EventsMakr is not available as a perpetual license

Are there additional resources available?
Yes, we have a growing resource library within the Openbrolly Community for EventsMakr clients containing advice, information and templates to enable you to make the most out of what you do. 

What if I have problems using EventsMakr?
We’re here for you, login to the Openbrolly Community and submit a support ticket to receive priority help from us. Our working hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

What if I want to cancel my EventsMakr subscription?
