What is MovieSite?

MovieSite is a cloud based solution that allows a film office to market & manage locations, issue permits and build a crew & facilities database for their area, all through one, easy to use web application, suitable for both the smallest and largest film office.

What does MovieSite do?

MovieSite is an all-encompassing one stop shop for the organisation and processing of filming for your jurisdiction. MovieSite enables location and crew production, economic impact monitoring and tracking, and the issuing and approving of permits through easy admin.

It's designed alongside screen agencies and film offices to ensure you can offer the very best online and self-service support to the industry at industry standards.

Who is MovieSite for?

MovieSite was created by Openbrolly with the help of two UK local authorities, with the aim of solving issues with the current processes that other local authorities currently have. If you issue event permits in a specific area then MovieSite is for you.

How long does it take to get set up?

Once we have the information we require from your film office, our set up time is 2 weeks subject to demand. Our tech team will take care of you and will personally ensure everything is correctly up and running.

Yes - MovieSite has optional built-in invoicing and payments to make life easier for you and the event organiser.

How many users can we have on the system?

MovieSite comes with a license limit of 10 users. Any more than that would be an additional £250 each.

How is our data stored?

We host our systems in the Amazon Web Services data centre in Dublin. The data centre meets government standards for data security, and includes ISO 27001 compliance. Read more.

No, infrastructure or IT knowledge is required by our clients to use our services beyond access to the internet via an up to date browser or mobile device.

What is the contacts module?

Yes! 2 hours of training is included with the initial setup of MovieSite. From there on in you can request priority support, read through our training materials and use the forum in the Openbrolly Community.

Will I receive training on how to use MovieSite effectively?

We feel that being able to add contacts and create contact lists is an integral part of processing event permits, that’s why with MovieSite you receive a free contacts module to enable you to stay organised.

How do I pay for MovieSite?

Payment for MovieSite is broken down into an initial setting up fee, followed by an annual maintenance subscription.

Can I purchase a perpetual license for MovieSite?

No, MovieSite is not available as a perpetual license

Are there additional resources available?

Yes, we have a growing resource library within the Openbrolly Community for MovieSite clients containing advice, information and templates to enable you to make the most out of what you do.

What if I have problems using MovieSite?

We’re here for you, login to the Openbrolly Community and submit a support ticket to receive priority help from us. Our working hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

What if I want to cancel my MovieSite subscription?
